This alignment of surnames is quite suspect.

A review of Mount Pilchuck

Pilchuck is a fair mountain with a great conglomeration of scenery surrounding its perimeter and adorning its exterior.

Its grade is modestly steep, though steep enough to provide challenge. Its ground is hard and rugged, consisting of a rough consortium of gravel, jagged rocks, boulders, and packed dirt. In areas where the terrain might otherwise prove impractical, steps and boardwalks are provided. The trail offers many occasions for photographic documentation to those keen on archiving nature’s myriad proclamations.

The top of the mountain features a lookout tower, accessible via ladder and short climb up a boulder pile. The lookout tower offers inspiring views in all the four directions of the compass. In the distance Mount Baker and Mount Rainier can be seen with keen eyes and clear skies. Other mountains vie for attention, though none as spectacular as those mentioned in name.

Though a poverty of wildlife was noted, many pikas were heard whistling as they dove into their burrows and called out to the Creator for purpose, having seemingly been denied such upon creation. These hopeless cousins of the rabbit seemed a ghastly mistake at best, and a gruesome distraction for pious hikers at worst. As a compromise, the mountain offered the patient hiker the chance to partake of berries, and indeed, many did.

Many dogs made the journey to the top but were held at bay by the mountain’s final challenge. In order to reach the lookout tower, the determined adventurer must possess skill with which to ascend ladders. Thus far the canine has demonstrated meager cunning in the execution of this endeavor. The placement of said obstacle showed tremendous foresight on the part of the trail’s caretakers. If ever a time comes that man wages war with the canine, he will always have safe respite atop Mount Pilchuck.

The trail’s nearby proximity and relative ease of access burdens it with heavy foot traffic, including that of children and seniors. Although deprived of civilization’s finer comforts, order still remains. Impromptu queues often form to permit civil passage to desired areas, such as that of the lookout tower. Though tensions are wont to run high amongst the eager adventurers, rarely ever does gunplay erupt.
